Shards Of Light
A downloadable game
Introduction
You are a source of light traveling through worlds and collecting shards. Throughout the hundreds of years, you have harnessed the ability to jump from one 2d world to another. This ability lets you collect light shards wherever they are.
But with great power comes great responsibility. Because you have the power to switch worlds, your touch is lethal to every living creature, so be aware of that! Being violent in different worlds will make you lose your bright yellow color, and cause you to move very slowly.
About the game
Each level is 3d, but you perceive it as 2d. By pressing Space you freeze and change the view. Pressing Space again changes the view back.
Each 2d world has its own inhabitants. If you touch at least one of them it will immediately die, making tainting your light and losing movement speed.
Controls
WASD/Arrows - to move and jump
Space - change the view
ESC - pause the game

I found the use of the theme quite creative. If we kill the walking minions, our jumping power decreases. A perfect and creative use. Gameplay is pretty fun and provides motivation to keep going. The visual presentation reveals the beauty in simplicity. The sound handling is quite nice and smooth. Overall, the game feels like a finished game. I definitely think it should continue to be developed. Strong candidate for jam, keep creating and inspiring man :)
